DTS Missionary School Training
("Discipleship Training School ")
"Discipleship Training School " is a school that trains young missionaries. The training period is five months. Our training began here in September 2022. It was preceded by months of preparation, prayer, decisions, and seeking support.
The first block of training (which lasts two months) includes an intensive study of theory. During this time we lay the foundation for our future ministry, learn the basics of missionary work, and become familiar with our mission field, where we will work. There is a powerful spiritual work inside us and in our environment: we are building a relationship with God, learning how to work in a team. We are almost at the end of the first block of training, and we are looking forward to the next one.
The second block is three months of practical ministry. At this point our course is divided into several teams that will go to different countries with different needs and expectations. Some will go to Kenya - to build a school and preach the gospel, some will serve in the mountains in a village in Nepal.
We (Alexander and Alina) will go to a village in Egypt to serve adults, children and youth who are hungry to hear God's Word but unfortunately preachers rarely go there. We will wholeheartedly try to fill this need and pray that God will make the most of our time in Egypt.
Of course, financial support is needed for each of the units. We have set up a trust account for our convenience. How did we decide to do this?
We often meet people who think we get paid well for being missionaries. Well, that's not quite true.
Every student pays for his or her entire course of study. Yes! That's right. "The apprenticeship course is designed so that students must be able to find their own funds and support for their ministry.
It is not an easy decision to make. But one day we felt a call from God. It was at a conference in May for leadership effectiveness. God repeatedly told us at the time that we needed to take the DTS Discipleship Training School . There were many difficulties and obstacles in preparation, but we followed God's voice and with God's help and the support of family and friends, we took that important step. We are now in a DTS school, and we thank the Lord and all who have helped us for that.
